Tell us a bit about yourself. Love my family, friends and having a good laugh. My philosophy in life is to eat chocolate always. I have an easygoing attitude and believe happiness should be everyone’s number one priority.

What’s your style? My style isn’t specific, but I would say it is quite girly, sometimes classic, but mostly I like a bit of everything.

Whose style you most admire? Miranda Kerr or Blake lively

Best vintage item you own? Playsuit; very comfortable on those hot summer days. It’s bright striking patterns and gorgeous vintage style buttons make it appealing to the eye and individual.

Favourite item from the Hazene shop. It’s very hard to pick a favourite, I love all of Hazene’s huge selection of garments. However one of my favourites would have to be the Magenta dress. I love its bright colours and buttons.

Name the one piece of clothing you can’t live without? A pair of comfy jeans, who can’t live without them.

What trend do you like to bring back? Head scarves; a few years ago I remember they were very popular, nowadays I bring one out every now and then

What era do you wish you live in and why? 1950s, I absolutely love the cute dresses and classiness of the era

Favourite place in Melbourne. It’s very difficult to pick one favourite, but my favourite thing about Melbourne is wandering around the streets and discovering hidden boutiques and shops you didn’t know about. I also love the atmosphere along south bank.

Where do you find inspiration? Magazines, online blogs and the world around me

Where’s your next travel destination? Hawaii, I can’t wait

A secret that nobody knows about you? It wouldn’t be a secret if I told you

Ever wonder where and how Dr Martens came about? Why they became such a fashionable icon back in the early 70s?  Dr Martens was designed by a man named Klaus Martens. He was not a shoe designer, but in fact a doctor that served in the German army during World War 2! He found the army boots to be uncomfortable and re-designed it with soft leather and air-padded soles. He’s indeed a man with many great talents. The Classic 1460 Boots was the first boots released in the UK (on 1^st April 1960).

Doc martens were significant to the British punk youth and skinheads. Take Sid Vicious for example who is a member of The Sex Pistols, he was one of the first to wear DMs. Wearing Doc Martens for these guys was also a mimicking form of a man who is overly dressed for work.

1.       Hire a rowboat

Who can forget the idyllic rowboat scene from The Notebook with the herd of swans (and Ryan Gosling!). On a nice day, you can recreate the scene by hiring a rowboat at Studley Park Boathouse. Bring some snacks and drinks. Relax and before you know it, you’ll be worlds away.

2.       Have a picnic

Bring a rug, pack some yummy treats, drinks, pillows and blankets then head to either Moonlight Cinema (they are showing the classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Valentine’s Day) or the beach (to watch the sunset) and have a nice evening under the stars.

3.        Join a cooking class
For something different and fun, join a cooking class where you prepare the food together and enjoy a nice meal that you both cook afterwards. Here are a few classes in Melbourne that you can try:  Trupp Cooking School, Pip’s Cooking School, South Melbourne Market Cooking School, Electrolux Cooking Class and Spice Bazaar.

4.       Ride and Dine

If you don’t mind venturing out of Melbourne, head to Belgrave for the Steam and Cuisine Luncheon Train to Puffing Billy. On Valentine’s Day, all the ladies will be receiving a complimentary rose. Sweet.

5.       Watch a movie at a Drive-in

Pack your car boot with all the essentials: favourite snack, drink and pillows; and head to Coburg Drive-in and watch the latest movie.

6.       Put your skates on
Wear your 80’s clothes and head to Bayswater roller skating rink. You may have to rely on each other for balance but falling down is part of the fun.

7.       Take photos at the old photo booth

Candid black and white photos will always put a smile on your face. Check out the old fashioned Photo booth at Flinders St Station.

8.       Dancing in the dark
If you feel self-conscious dancing in front of people (or embarrassed with your partner’s dancing moves) then this is the perfect solution. First started in Melbourne, now you can join the No Lights No Lycra movement in Berlin, Brooklyn and London.
